Job DescriptionUnder the direction of the Quality Manager, the QA Lab Coordinator will direct the daily activities of the QA Lab technicians, analyze quality control test results and provide feedback and interpretation to management or production, monitor performance of quality control systems to ensure effectiveness and efficiency, communicate quality control information to all relevant organizational departments, outside vendors, customers, or contractors. Coordinate Quality Lab Functions and daily activities of Lab Technicians:
This position requires a 50/50 split between working in a climate-controlled environment and in the general factory. During work in the factory the temperature varies as the seasons change from hot to cool. Due to the nature of our product, and the testing it requires, some exposure to dust is possible. PPE is required when conducting chemical testing or using plasma torch. Note: The employee in this position will train under the current QA Lab coordinator until an effective transition can be made. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform essential functions of this job. Employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
