CONSUMER LOAN CLOSING COORDINATOR

The Consumer Loan Closing Coordinator position is responsible for providing quality loan documentation for secured and unsecured retail loans, including home equity line of credit, lot loans, automobile, and other consumer purpose loans by remaining compliant with bank regulations. Also responsible for centralized funding and disbursements of all consumer loans.

As a Consumer Loan Closing Coordinator, you will:

  • Prepare all closing packages for both real estate and non-real estate loans.
  • Prepare closing disclosures for lot and term real estate loans in an acceptable, compliant and timely manner.
  • Review loan files for proper documentation to be sure liens are placed accurately for non-real estate loans.
  • Review title work for real estate files to know and understand proper lien position and titling for mortgages to be recorded accurately.
  • Work with compliance to understand what is needed to have compliant files.
  • Review reports/payoffs for accuracy and address any issues that show up in reports.
  • Maintain open communication with all lenders to make sure their documentation requests are prepared in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Multitask files that need closing disclosures while preparing other loans documents needed for the day, while attending to incoming emails.
  • Prepare all disbursements and upload loans to the Core system for closed loans including preparing all centralized funding for these loans. Prepare checks needed for immediate disbursement at the branch or any payoff checks that need to be sent.
  • Prepare modifications as needed for both Consumer and Mortgage loans.
  • Provide training for new lenders and ongoing training as needed.
  • Uphold Nicolet's philosophy and policies by maintaining appropriate controls to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, thereby fulfilling legal responsibilities and enhancing the quality of services provided by Nicolet.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required
  • Associate degree in business or equivalent financial services industry training preferred.
  • 1-3 years retail loan processing and/or documentation experience preferred.
  • 1-3 years banking experience required.
  • PC, phone system, general office equipment
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Working knowledge of consumer loan products and services.
  • Self-motivated and resourceful with strong research skills.
  • Ability to multitask between files, emails, phone calls while disclosing loans.
