ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior Analyst, Procurement role is based in the Charlotte office, supporting North America Procurement Ops. This position reports directly to the NA Procurement Manager. The successful candidate will be familiar with the complete range of strategic sourcing activities. This includes the analysis of spend, the formulation of and implementation of commodity strategies, the negotiation of contracts and the ongoing management of strategic supplier relationships (including supplier development). The holder of this role will be a key person accountable for the implementation of region-wide sourcing strategies. In addition, this individual will play a vital role in SAP initiatives and management of vendor information, including pricing, lead times, and vendor set up.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify, develop and implement cost savings initiatives
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders (production scheduling, quality control, etc.), to support customer services, quality and inventory targets
  • Assist in developing and managing the supplier relationship management (SRM) process
  • Investigate and benchmark current suppliers and develop potential new sources
  • Analyze spending practices/trends to aid in negotiation strategies
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers
  • Coordinate Vendor Setup, Create Purchase Info Records, and Manage Supplier Agreements/PO Approvals within SAP.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement function
  • BS degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or relevant field

PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS

  • Leadership, sound judgment, and solid technical problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Proven track record of achieving results in a cross functional environment.
  • Project Management and/or New Product Commercialization Experience
  • Strong understanding of Total Cost of Ownership and how trade off decisions impact delivered cost. This requires sound understanding of cost drivers in supply chain management.

  • This position is onsite in our Charlotte, NC office
  • This position is not eligible for relocation
