Lateral Flow Bench Scientist Category: Scientific Employment Type: Direct Hire Reference: BH-381725 Yoh Life Sciences is hiring for a Lateral Flow Bench Scientist. In this position you will be dedicated to the bench creating point-of-care diagnostic products and designing lateral flow immunoassays. You will work independently and as part of project teams to develop products from feasibility through validation and transfer to manufacturing. You will collaborate with internal and external colleagues and clients. The ability to work independently is a must. Duration - Permanent Location - Carlsbad, onsite Requirements: M.S. or PhD in chemistry, biochemistry, biophysics, bioengineering or related field Minimum of 3 years applicable work experience Immunoassay development experience is required Experience with lateral flow immunochromatographic assays is strongly preferred Experience with point-of-care diagnostics Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of experimental design & interpretation Laboratory skills, such as protein purification, antibody conjugation, solution preparation, ELISA experience, immunoassay development skills, etc. Identify potential areas of innovation and improvement. Create prototypes of proof-of-concept models to demonstrate the feasibility of new product concepts. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the research aligns with the overall product development goals. Ensure that the work complies with relevant regulations and standards. Troubleshoot and solve technical challenges that arise during the development process. Basic algebraic, statistical, and mathematical skills Strong communication skills, will be communicating with customers and team members.
