Objective

The purpose of the Title Specialist is to support the operations department in the processing and completion of transactions with a focus on administering the lien process for titled and non-titled collateral. They will work as a valued team member and act as backup for others as necessary to ensure the success of the company.

Responsibilities/Duties

    Process all lien filings for both in and out of state collateral
  • Administer all UCC filings
  • Conduct post-closing quality control for each titled transaction
  • Create and maintain tracking for Pending Titles, including tracking all registrations, titling by customers or other third-parties, and sending notices and communicating with customers who have failed to register/title collateral in a timely manner
  • Complete lien releases
  • Develop an understanding of the company organization and operations procedures.
  • Record and process incoming payments
  • Customer Services Support
  • Other duties as assigned.


Essential Functions

While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to operate a computer terminal with repetitive motion. Physical requirements of this position are considered sedentary work involving preparing documentation, preparing, and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, and resolving inquiries. Some amount of mobility to access files, attend meetings, both on and off site, and perform property inspections is necessary. The employee is expected to converse with internal and external customers and exchange information.



Knowledge - Skills & Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree or associate degree preferred or 3+ years' experience in Leasing or Finance, or equivalent title experience.
  • Basic computer/data entry skills and the ability to learn and apply new software programs as required.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and complete job within reasonable times.
  • Excellent communication skills are a must. This includes the ability to build rapport with customers, strong verbal skills and clearly articulated written communication.
