Group: Investigative Position: Project Manager - Forensic Engineer/Architect Location: Chicago, IL We are seeking engineers and architects that will be responsible for performing a wide range of forensic investigations related to damage and deterioration of structures, condition assessment studies for property owners and managers, and structural and building enclosure repair and rehabilitation design to existing facilities. The work includes evaluations of commercial, residential, industrial, utility infrastructure, and municipal projects. The Project Engineer - Forensic Engineer/Architect will assist senior staff with conducting investigation and assessment projects, which will include field work, technical research, report writing, and occasionally the development of repair design drawings and technical specifications. The position requires direct daily contact with clients and staff, therefore strong oral and written communication skills are a must. The position offers the opportunity to work both independently and as part of a team. Project responsibilities will vary based on the nature of the assignment and individual aptitudes. Applicants must possess experience in or the desire to learn the evaluation of entire structures (from foundations to roofing) as well as the investigation of failures and building problems. Position requires frequent local and occasional regional travel. Responsibilities
