Job Description
  • Explain and interprets regulations, policies, and procedures for staff
  • Resolve problems encountered during daily operations and determines appropriate solutions
  • Monitor work activity on caseloads to ensure that cases are clearly and thoroughly documented
  • Develop or modify work plans, methods, and procedures, determines work priorities, and develops work schedules to provide adequate staff coverage
  • Review unit procedures, assists in the development or revision of needed procedures, and troubleshoots system errors
  • Provide work instruction and assist employees with difficult and/or unusual assignments
  • Manage and maintains a reduced complex caseload
  • Refer clients to appropriate agencies for specialized services and counseling
  • Assist clients to identify conditions needing improvement and develop measures to correct them
  • Complete documents and forms timely and accurately; maintain records and files; and schedule
  • Assist in oversight of customer service and staff work flow
  • Assist in oversight of staff schedules and time management
  • Authorize and coordinate training services and track obligation of funds
  • Assist in training of new staff to ensure consistency
  • Review and assist staff in data and file management
  • Develop and follow-up with Training Vendors and employer sites monthly
  • Provide career management to customers at the appropriate level
  • Interview customers to gather information on training needs, educational background, work experience, skills, interests and eligibility
  • Verify eligibility for program services
  • Assist customers with identifying employment goals and career development needs, and developing achievable realistic service and employment plans
  • Assist customer with job placement
  • Provide follow-up after job placement to ensure job retention
  • Authorize and coordinate supportive services
  • Assure compliance with state, federal and local programmatic guidelines
Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field from regionally accredited college or university or equivalent skills and experience
  • Two years professional experience with employment/recruiting & staffing, preferably in workforce development or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
  • Computer literate
  • Organizational, time-management, verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have transportation to perform local travel
  • Two to four years of complex case file management experience preferred
  • One year minimum of supervisory experience preferred
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office programs
  • Demonstrated excellent communication and team work skills
  • Expertise in CAP, SNAP, WP and WIOA programs preferred

Work Requirements:

  • Proficient Basic office computer skills
  • Strong communication written and verbal skills
  • Must have a current valid Driver's License with Good Driving Record
