We are looking for a Technical Trainer to join our team. This individual will develop and deliver training on the latest technology in X-ray machines in a variety of product lines. The primary objective is to develop and deliver training solutions for customers, distributors, and internal personnel to certify their ability to safely operate and effectively service Rapiscan equipment. Training will be conducted at a Rapiscan training facility or at a customer site across the US and Latin American regions.


Responsibilities

  • Deliver high quality service training to a variety of internal and external audiences, across various levels.
  • Meet training delivery standards and expectations.
  • Assist with the customer support and coordination of US training.
  • Able to read electrical diagrams and schematics, comprehend technical documentation, and communicate with Subject Matter Experts (engineers, product specialists).
  • Drive curricula and training programs to help stakeholders and customers become more knowledgeable and efficient with Rapiscan Systems product lines.
  • Take ownership and coordinate the delivery of training courses that will be assigned.
  • Lead training programs as needed.
  • Ensure all courses delivered meet Export and Trade Compliance requirements as set out by Senior Learning Academy Management.
  • Complete expenses, reports, and compliance documentation per training process.
  • Support the training delivery of new product line rollouts and Entry into Service programs.
  • Maintain, update, and hold accurate student records following all auditable processes and requirements.
  • Deliver classroom training in a variety of settings and manage classes of up to 10 Students.
  • Maintain accurate classroom and expense records and report those in a timely manner.

  • It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem.
  • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Electronics Engineering required. Years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • 3 years+ experience as a technical, systems, or software trainer highly desired.
  • 2+ years of experience in related fields preferred.
  • Relevant training and educational qualifications, minimum of a Level 3 (Diploma) AET, CAVA or A1.
  • Knowledge of X-ray imaging/security systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge of basic networking is helpful.
  • CTT+ or instructional design/delivery coursework a plus.
  • Experience using training development tools such as Articulate, Camtasia a plus.
  • Must be bilingual in English/Spanish.
  • National and International travel required - up to 75%.
  • Must be willing to travel to South America as required by business needs.
