Pay: $15 per hour

Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

The Medical Biller plays a key role in providing excellent front-office support while ensuring accurate and timely billing. This role involves greeting and assisting patients, verifying insurance details, and handling billing for Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance plans. We're seeking a detail-oriented, organized individual who excels in customer service and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Responsibilities:



  • Verify insurance coverage (Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance)
  • Obtain pre-authorizations and referrals
  • Update patient records with accurate insurance and demographic info
  • Submit and follow up on insurance claims
  • Ensure coding accuracy (CPT, ICD-10)
  • Resolve rejected or denied claims
  • Post insurance and patient payments
  • Generate and send patient statements
  • Collect co-pays and outstanding balances
  • Address patient billing inquiries
  • Maintain HIPAA-compliant, confidential records
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed




Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or equivalent (medical billing certification is a plus)
  • Experience with EMR and medical billing software
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance billing
  • Familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 coding
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred
