Overall Responsibility
Under the Director of Enterprise Systems, support the organization's SAP ERP environment by providing technical expertise and skills to design, develop, test and implement improvements to SAP modules and overall technical environment. This role will collaborate with business stakeholders to understand business requirements and design technical solutions to meet those requirements.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Technical Support for SAP SD (Sales and Distribution), SAP FI/CO (Financial Accounting and Controlling), SAP MM (Materials Management), SAP Procurement and Supply Chain. Working under the direction of the Director, Procurement and Supply Chain Systems and the Director of Enterprise Systems to develop systems integrations, data conversion programs and custom solutions using SAP ABAP programming language.
- Help coordinate offshore development activities including translating functional requirements into detailed technical specifications and managing projects through development, unit test, user acceptance testing and post production support.
- Partner with SAP Functional Consultants as well as the Director of Enterprise Systems to ensure seamless integration between SAP modules as well as 3rd party applications such as OpenText, Ariba, Oracle Cloud Fusion and Huron Research Suite.
- SAP SD Technical Support for Genomics Platform Support Genomics Platform LIMS systems integrations with SAP ERP. Work with GP technical team and SAP offshore developers to enhance and troubleshoot systems integrations.
- SAP Data Center Migration to GCP Support Basis team moving SAP landscape to GCP and upgrading database to SAP Hana. Retrofit any SAP customizations, extensions or integration to work in a new environment.
- Coordinate testing and deployment activities with key business users.
- Core Financials ERP Migration back to SAP Help define and execute technical plans to build and test data conversion programs, systems integrations and functional improvements to the SAP platform.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics, Business, Engineering).
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in supporting SAP ERP Platform.
- Experience working in a Not-for profit environment with Traditional Research as well as SSF (Specialized Service Facility) Platforms and familiarity of Federal OMB Circular A-133 requirements.
- Strong technical expertise in SAP ABAP programming language and SAP development tools SAP Netweaver, SAP Fiori, and SAP ECC.
- Experience migrating hosted SAP platforms.
- Experience developing custom SAP solutions using SAP technologies including SAP BAPI (Business Application Programming Interface), SAP IDoc (Intermediate Document), and SAP user exits. 10+ years in leading financial and administrative data governance initiatives, including the ownership and stewardship of the data elements.
- Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to guide data mapping, system integrations, and troubleshooting, ensuring that data supports both operational and financial reporting requirements.
