Job Title: Staff Accountant (Japanese Bilingual Preferred)
Work Location: Phoenix, AZ (Onsite)
Reports to: Controller
Overview:
A Phoenix-based electronic components and testing technology company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Staff Accountant to join their finance team. With a history of nearly 50 years, they are a well-established company recently acquired by a Japanese listed company. They are a small but growing team of approximately 30 employees, dedicated to providing innovative solutions to their customers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with all aspects of the company's accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
* Assist with the month-end/year-end close process, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
* Prepare and analyze financial data and reports as requested.
* Assist with the preparation of financial statements.
* Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards (US GAAP).
* Assist with ad hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications:
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
* 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with ERP systems.
* Familiarity with Japanese accounting standards.
* Japanese language proficiency.
