THE JOB:

As a Meeting Concierge, you will play a key role in crafting exceptional guest experiences through your warm welcome and outstanding service. By truly understanding each guest's unique story and needs, you will take ownership of their experience, creating memorable "WOW" moments that will last long after their stay.

All responsibilities will be carried out in accordance with departmental guidelines and MGM Resorts policies, practices, and procedures.

THE STARTING RATE: $19.50 / Per Hour + Commissions

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Coordinate meetings with Convention Service Managers, Sales Managers, and Catering Managers to review and confirm all details for upcoming group events.
  • Conduct on-site inspections of meeting rooms to ensure they are arranged in line with the Meeting or Banquet Event Order.
  • Support the supervision of Banquet setups, A/V, IT, and other operational teams to meet the clients' specific event needs.
  • Perform walk-throughs of convention and meeting spaces before and after events to ensure there is no damage.
  • Oversee break and refreshment schedules, ensuring timely service delivery that aligns with meeting planners' expectations.
  • Participate in all Pre-Convention meetings, providing in-depth insight into your role in ensuring the success of client events.
  • Assist the Convention Services Manager with current in-house groups while they focus on upcoming events.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Two (2) years of relevant experience in Hospitality, Convention Services, Event Planning or Front Desk/ Reservations in a similar resort setting
  • Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines, with attention to detail and confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions immediately without supervision
  • Ability to read and write proficiently to evaluate reports, correspondence and statistical information
  • Perception and awareness of individual needs and the ability to handle all situations calmly and professionally
  • Proficiency of computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint with the ability to type 30 words per minute
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
  • High school diploma, GED or educational equivalent
  • Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidays
