TITLE: Process Technician

POSITION OBJECTIVE: Seeking a self-motivated, experienced, and dedicated individual. Ensures production equipment operates efficiently by performing equipment maintenance on a daily basis. This position is responsible for preventative maintenance and repairs for all production, facility, and utility equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Ability to understand and troubleshoot and replace proxy switches, eyes, and fiber optic.
  • Ability to understand and troubleshoot servo motors, stepper motors, encoders, and drives.
  • Have basic plumbing skills, knowledge of fittings and thread types.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and experience.
  • Basic electrical knowledge and experience.
  • Able to perform independently and with good work habits.
  • Ability to weld is a plus.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Able to work holidays.
  • Available for overtime.
  • Eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical problems on industrial equipment (including extruders).
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance.
  • Must comply with all safety rules and procedures. Maintain and complete all required records. Individuals must be available to work overtime as needed. Perform other duties as required or assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Mechanical tasks: troubleshoot and repair gear boxes. Troubleshoot and replace bearings, chains, belts, and pulleys. Preferred by not required--MIG weld, stick weld, drill and tap threaded holes. Read mechanical prints.
  • Electrical tasks: troubleshoot and replace AC and DC drives, temperature controls, start/stop electrical controls, troubleshoot PLCs, replace and wire 3-phase motors, troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits. Read electrical, building, machine, and flow diagram prints.
  • Experience in industrial maintenance role preferred.
  • Must comply with all written and verbal safety rules that apply for the plant and department. Must be willing and able to wear all personal protective equipment.
  • Perform all assigned job duties.
  • Troubleshoot problems in simple electrical circuits.
  • Assist other technicians.
  • Other duties as assigned by Area Supervisor or Forman.
  • Troubleshoot simple mechanical problems and make repairs. (Bearings, belts, pulleys, chains, sprockets, etc.).
  • Re-blade punches, re-cover punch pads and install / set up cutter blades and dies.
  • Rebuild spare parts to keep in stock for future breakdowns.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and set machine up for production to run and have good seal and go right back into production and making a good product.
  • Run conduit and hook up simple electrical circuits. (Power up Receptacles, transformers and size up the conduit, wires, fuses, etc.).



OTHER INFORMATION:



  • Sign-on & Retention Bonus to $1,250
  • After offer is accepted, background check and drug screen required.
  • Relocation assistance up to $2500.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
