National Business Development Manager - SMT

Position Type: Direct Hire

Position Location: Vernon Hills, IL

Position Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 Base (Depending on Experience) + Commission

Responsibilities:



  • Responsible for increasing product sales through strategic promotions and business initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with sales teams and clients, offering product demos, expert advice, and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Participate in trade shows, as well as important sales meetings and travel, both within the U.S. and internationally
  • Conduct market research to create tailored sales and marketing strategies for potential clients.
  • Drive new business opportunities to help expand the sales pipeline.
  • Engage with both new and existing customers through product presentations, including software demonstrations.
  • Offer technical insights and support to the sales team regarding product functionality.
  • Provide expert technical sales assistance to both internal teams and external clients.
  • Attend trade shows and play an active role in high-level sales meetings.
  • Suggest new strategies and opportunities to senior management and regional managers.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to ensure customers choose the best equipment for their needs.
  • Travel to meet with sales representatives and clients, including international and weekend travel as required.
  • Oversee and manage the quotation process for customer proposals.


Requirements:



  • 5+ years of experience in the SMT industry, including business development responsibilities.
  • Extensive knowledge of SMT products.
  • Strong skills in delivering presentations, engaging with customers, conducting market research, and providing technical sales support.
  • Willingness and ability to travel both domestically and internationally as needed.
  • Effective communication skills, especially in global sales and engineering settings.
