What you will do: The Director of Sustaining Engineering will lead a team responsible for maintaining and improving existing products in the Fire Alarm and Fire Detection industry. This role involves ensuring product reliability, managing post-launch product support, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for innovation and quality. This is a highly visible technical leadership role that will bring strong technical acumen to support the next generation of products and services on rapid growth trajectory. To be successful in this role, you will need to have hands-on technical skills, process driven, metrics oriented, engaging and goal-oriented style and must be comfortable working with cross functional global teams. About the Manager: I've been working in the fire solutions and automotive industry for 22+ years. My experience ranges from mechanical, chemical to complex mechatronic systems. I am passionate about New Product Development and love to foster high performance teams that execute the organization's vision. I expect to be challenged in this role to learn new tools and systems, tackle complicated projects, make engineering judgements in the face of uncertainty, and conduct exploratory analysis to evaluate system performance. As a leader, I'm focused on continuous learning and development - both building our own engineering skillsets but also improving our processes and products.
