The Cost Estimating Sr Specialist: Oversees financial operations for one or more projects, including cost accounting, cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, accounts payable and payroll | Establishes project budgeting and cost control processes using budget tracking tools | Produces and maintains monthly financial statements, work-in-progress reports and general ledgers | Reviews and signs off on final accounts for projects | May maintain local registrations, business and tax licenses



Major Position Responsibilities

    Develops cost estimates for projects based on work scope, specifications, and contract proposals using applicable estimating methodologies and tools.
  • Analyzes project requirements, plans, and specifications to identify labor, material, equipment, and service requirements.
  • Uses benchmark data, trends, prior estimates, and historical pricing schedules to generate detailed cost estimates that consist of itemized lists of expenses, labor hours, material quantities, and potential cost variations.
  • Depending on the complexity and type of project, may use different estimating methods, mathematical models, or specialized estimating software tools to generate estimates.


Basic Qualifications

Required Education and Experience: Associates Degree and 5 -7 years experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience

Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree

Discipline/Major: Finance or related degree preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, IFS, ProPricer).
  • Familiarity with government contracting regulations, including FAR/DFARS and TINA compliance.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large data sets and provide actionable insights.
  • Experience with parametric estimating techniques and forecasting models.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and workforce planning.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Travel Requirements: Less than 25% travel likely.



Pay Range (USD)

$74,550.00 - $138,450.00

The salary range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum for salary for this position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, internal equity, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the range during the hiring process.


Additional Compensation

Hired applicant may be eligible to participate in the Company's Gain Sharing Program.
