POSITION SUMMARY
- Directs and coordinates activities of the Application support team, which oversees ERP support, database administration, EDI support, custom application development and customer portal management. Responsible to assure that business critical applications are adequate to meet the requirements of its customers. This is a hands-on working manager position responsible for application administration, development, and support.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Planning, coordinating and monitoring the progress of application development projects to ensure their ongoing alignment with business goals.
- Research and design project solutions with department heads and manufacturing plants following and enforcing established standard business practices.
- Assign, schedule and/or delegate work to subordinate(s) and review their work product.
- Prepare progress reports to inform management of project status and deviation from goals.
- Analyze and design complex processes, identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions to all business departments for the applications that we manage.
- Review the state of our applications by performing an analysis and recommend upgrades or migration to different systems as appropriate.
- Oversee application support within Plex ERP for EDI, reporting, workflows, permissions and technical documentation.
- Oversee customer portal management - Covisint, Ford, VW and other OEMs within your team.
JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Preferred college degree or the equivalent (plus two years' experience as Manager in the computer field)
- T-SQL and ERP administration experience
- Must have good supervisory skills

- Normal office environment with some travel to plant locations
