Looking for a Medical Equipment Project Coordinator

The Medical Equipment Project Coordinator provides assistance to the Medical Equipment Planners and the Revit team. This position supports the Medical Equipment Planners meet all deliverables and project work. The Medical Equipment Project Coordinator update project data following user group meetings, procurement function and standard changes to items and / or budget of the project which includes reviewing drawings for accuracy. This role has responsibility for the ESP database, including contents and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Review drawings with medical equipment planners and verify drawings for dimensional accuracy and adequate documentation. Be familiar with timelines for updates of deliverables and drawings on all projects.
  • Assist in developing the project team presentation materials
  • Review or create responsibility matrix for project manager to deliver to clients
  • Develop New Client folders in the computer system for new client files
  • Prepare reports for the Medical Equipment Planner to give to the owner, architect, & project manager including financial budget, room reports
  • Coordinate with medical equipment, IT and furniture vendors to add technical data in SHR's proprietary Equipment Solution Planning software (ESP)
  • Prepare bidders lists for procurement needs
  • Build new client functional program in ESP
  • Attend meetings as needed, take notes, provide reports/minutes and update ESP accordingly
  • Assist the Medical Equipment Planner with arranging site visits for clients
  • Assist Medical Equipment Planner to Develop informational RFP's for vendors
  • Assist the Medical Equipment Planner in responding to RFI's & bulletins from architect and construction team
  • Follow up with Revit team on progress of equipment drawings in all phases
  • Assist with arranging & attending inventories of hospital departments where required
  • Assist Equipment Planner with preparing Procurement Schedule, arranging, and coordinating move management services
  • Learn basic Revit to be able move, add and delete Revit families from existing drawings in the architects model and coordinate placement of medical equipment in the floor plans, maintaining logs of all changes.


An ideal candidate will possess the following requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field OR 3 or more years of computer database or related experience
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Knowledge of databases
  • Knowledge of inventory practices
