Job Title: Desktop Support Engineer

Skills: Mac OSX, Windows, Asset Management, Remote Desktop Support, SNOW, Networking, Apple OSX, Service Now, MS Office, Windows, ITIL V3, Field Services, Service desk - UAM, Windows, Desktop Support, Remote Incident Management

  • This position requires Extensive knowledge and experience with desktop technology, including, but not limited to, Windows desktop operation systems, Apple Mac, desktop applications, Multifunction Devices print/fax/copier/scanner, and wireless devices such as Android phones, iPhones, and/or iPads and basic networking concepts.
  • Contacting the device manufacturer to ensure support and resolution for hardware issues, while coordinating with vendors to repair devices and provide white collar support for VIPs. New hire onboarding support.
  • Laptop lifecycle management. CMDB Asset management Configure, test and manage Network equipment at client location. Also check the server in case of any issues.
  • Report any issues that require immediate attention. verify & manage all the Conference Rooms.
  • Raise a request for replacement in case of any faulty hardware. Continuously work with Facilities to improve the IT Facilities. Implement the changes proposed by Facilities. IT Peripheral/Replacement equipment requests need to be checked and accessed before procuring the hardware for a user.
  • Need to gather and update the details regarding the RU (Resource Unit) counts for our monthly billing process. This includes reviewing any changes in usage of client devices and ensuring that all data is accurate and up to date before we finalize the billing statements.
  • Need a comprehensive understanding of network devices, specifically routers, switches, and access points. This includes their functions, how they interact within a network, and their roles in facilitating connectivity.

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until March 2, 2025

The annual salary for this position is between $37,804- $74,500 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
