Position Highlights:

  • Position: Clinical Nurse Supervisor - Centralized Triage - Days

  • Hourly Pay Range: $36.93 - $59.15. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors

  • Location: Warrenville, IL

  • Full Time: 40 hours / week

  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

  • Required Travel: No

What you will do:

  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served. This includes knowledge of the physical, psychological and cultural needs of patients served and the ability to respond appropriately to those needs.

  • Performs clinical duties of an LPN or RN, which includes assessment of patients' condition, administration of medications and treatments and appropriate documentation in medical record. Prepares patient for tests and procedures. Prepares specimens and provides appropriate patient education as requires.

  • Manages and directs clinical personnel in order to ensure effective, efficient and safe provision of patient care in accordance with established standards. Evaluates patient care needs, determines work priorities and delegates accordingly. Approves overtime as necessary. Prepares staffing schedules for employees and physicians.

  • Serves as resource person for resolving questions related to policies, standards and patient care techniques and procedures.

  • Interviews, recommends hiring, orients and trains clinic personnel. Evaluates performance of office personnel and recommends discipline and discharge action as necessary.

  • Works in collaboration with Clinic Manager/Director in developing and presenting inservices, education programs and monthly staff meetings for clinic personnel and others as necessary.

  • Monitors clinic activities, identifies areas for improvement and/or enhancement and makes appropriate recommendations for change to Clinic Manager/Director. Implements and administers approved procedures.

  • In absence of Clinic Manager, assumes supervision of office staff. For offices without Clinic Manager collaborates with Business Office Supervisor to ensure efficient operation of clinic office. Oversees clerical staff in absence of Business Office Supervisor.

  • Develops and maintains collaborative working relationships with ancillary personnel.

  • Maintains and ensures safety of equipment used for patient care and recommends purchase of new or replacement supplies and equipment.

  • Continues educational growth through related conferences, seminars and literature. Attends required supervisor meetings.

  • Conducts clinical staff competency reviews. Monitors and maintains lab quality controls and established quality standards to ensure optimal patient care.

  • Oversees clinical staff members that are assigned to work and perform pharmacy duties. Supervises Safety Coordinator in the absence of the Clinic Manager or may act as the Safety Coordinator.

  • Completes medical record audits for Edward Medical Corporation or contracted insurance companies. Accompanies reviewer on site visits.

  • In absence of Clinic Manager, performs payroll and other financial duties as required.

What you will need:

  • 3 Years one to two years of previous physician practice experience

  • Valid Driver's License

  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) Required OR Registered Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) Required

  • CPR Certification Required
