The Clinic Electronic Medical Record Technician maintains and provides accurate Medical Record Information in a confidential, efficient, and professional manner to support the needs of all Health Information Management customers. This role performs a variety function including using spreadsheets to document incoming measurements of paperwork to scan as well as mail merge to send carbon copies of procedure reports to the patient's primary care providers. This position also determines accurate order selection to scan medicals documents into the patient's record in our electronic record system.


Uses a mail merge program to mail carbon copies of procedure reports, that are received from practices to their patient?s primary care providers.
Updates, daily and weekly productivity forms, spreadsheets, or logs following department guidelines and within designated timeframes.
Properly prepares paperwork for scanning in accordance with departmental guidelines and system protocols.
Reports new documents to management and team for determination of document type, order type, and description.
Works in appropriate systems within the department to perform research in identifying patients accurately and choosing the correct orders to scan medical record documents into the electronic medical record.
Follows department guidelines to meet productivity standards and perform weekly peer review quality assessments.
Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE:
Required: 1-3 years
