ROLE SUMMARY:
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Financial Analyst to join our FP&A team and partner with our Operations Team. We are looking for a strong analyst to build and leverage data models, participate in developing sales and financial plans.
What You'll Do:


  • Serve as the lead Financial Analyst supporting the Operations organization.
  • Engage with leaders within Operations to understand the strategic direction of the organization and help drive initiatives to increase operational effectiveness.
  • Lead Ad Hoc projects to analyse profitability, cash usage, margin impact and ROI.
  • Work closely with our Lab Services team to update revenue forecasts on a weekly basis.
  • Provide assessments and forecasts of financial performance against budget, financial and operational goals.
  • Support Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly Operation Review Meetings
  • Identify and quantify financial risks and opportunities both on an organization and department level.
  • Initiate process improvements and recommendations to ensure that key financial targets are being met for the Operations organization.
  • Serve as a key contributor to the annual budget process; lead meetings with leaders within the Operations organization to develop financial plans as well as corresponding goals and objectives.
  • Support monthly/quarterly financial close ensure all financials and headcount information are reconciled for reporting and analytics



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS


  • BA/BS in Finance, Accounting or Finance
  • 3+ years of experience in Corporate Financial Organization



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Expert in Excel modelling and proficient in sensitivity and scenario analysis
  • Experience in corporate Financial Planning and Analysis preferred.
  • Experience with Data Visualization Tools, such as Tableau.
  • Experience in Life science industry is preferred
  • Experience supporting operational departments is preferred. Examples include: Research & Development, Manufacturing, Quality Control, and Quality Assurance.
  • CPA/CFA or work towards completion preferred.
  • Ability to self-direct work in an unstructured, fast paced environment; comfortable with ambiguity
  • Traits: Analytical, decisive, collaborative, strategic
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational, problem solving, communication and critical thinking skills.
