Job SummaryThe Proposal Manager leads a team of Proposal Analysts who respond to Request for Proposals (RFPs), Request for Information (RFIs) and Executive Summaries supporting all lines of business. This position leads the cross-functional efforts to strategically respond to RFPs/RFIs and manages and improves the proposal process. The Proposal Manager also represents the proposal team in meetings as necessary.
  • Provide direction to the Proposal Analyst's and increase performance and progress towards reaching business goals and clearly communicate roles and expectations.
  • Review the analyst's RFPs/RFIs and Executive Summaries to identify potential obstacles to success or areas of concern and provide feedback and potential solutions.
  • Manage team morale, development, staffing, performance and expectations.
  • Oversee the proposal process to ensure adherence, timeliness, and quality, while continually assessing the proposal process for effectiveness and quality.
  • Schedule and/or attend meetings on a regular cadence with sales and client manager's leadership to discuss strategy, goals, process improvement, and pipeline.
  • Manage large, complex RFPs/RFIs based on team capacity; assist Proposal Analyst's with their assigned RFPs/RFIs as needed.
  • Serve as the liaison to proposal leadership; participate in strategy/kick-off calls as needed.
  • Hire and train additional staff as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Required Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree is required.
  • Five years of work experience in healthcare, insurance or third-party benefit administration environment required.
  • Three years of experience working with proposals/RFP's required.
  • Prior experience with leadership/people management required.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Proven team development skills
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Advanced proficiency using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience communicating, collaborating and presenting to all levels of the organization
  • Organized, results focused, prioritization and time management skills
  • Minimal travel required (yearly sales summit and others as required)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project and/or process management experience
  • Salesforce experience

The compensation offered will vary depending on your job-related skills, education, knowledge, and experience. This role aligns with an annual incentive bonus plansubject to the terms and the conditions of the plan.

Min to Max Range:

$66,300.00 - $124,500.00
