Job Description
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Safety Consultant for our growing Texas team. This role involves providing expert guidance on environmental health and safety (EHS) matters, conduction assessments, and developing strategic EHS programs for a variety of clients. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of professional experience, a deep understanding of EHS regulations with an emphasis on safety, and a strong ability to work independently while managing client relationships. Residency near a Texas major market is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement health and safety programs, policies, and procedures tailored to client needs, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other relevant regulations for client projects.
  • Provide expert consultation and technical guidance on hazard identification, risk assessments, and control strategies to mitigate workplace hazards.
  • Design and deliver health and safety training programs for clients, including regulatory compliance, best practices, and hazard recognition.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure project goals are met effectively and efficiently.
  • Stay current with safety regulations and best practices, providing guidance to clients on compliance and risk management.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, fostering long-term relationships with clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into broader business strategies and operations.
  • Travel to client locations for project work as needed.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and client communications to ensure high-quality service and delivery.
Qualifications:
Education: Minimum of bachelor's degree in a related field required.

Certifications: CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or equivalent advanced safety certification preferred. Ability to acquire the CSP within 6 months preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial hygiene, safety, or related EHS fields.

Skills:
  • Experience in consulting across diverse industries, including manufacturing, construction, healthcare, or energy sectors.
  • Deep knowledge of OSHA standards, specifically 29 CFR 1910 and 1926 and related ISO standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing EHS projects and programs, with a focus on hazard identification, risk assessment, and mitigation.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and maintain high attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and proactive in identifying opportunities and solving problems.
  • Must be able to lift and move at least 50 lbs., climb ladders, and maintain a clean-shaven face to ensure proper respirator fit and use.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test and maintain a drug-free status throughout employment.
  • Proficiency in relevant computer programs, including safety management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and data analysis tools, as required.
  • Proficiency in using industrial hygiene and safety equipment, sampling techniques, and data analysis tools.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely, with a high level of self-motivation and accountability.
