May participate in presenting the proposal to the client. Participates in major project design decisions in conjunction with the Project Manager. May assign duties to Project Team, answer their questions, and monitor their progress. Provides the technical expertise for projects to which assigned. May be delegated responsibility to maintain client contact throughout the development of the project. May serve as Project Manager on certain projects. Performs other related work as apparent or as assigned and performs all such work in a safe manner, consistent with the firm’s policies and procedures. At least 5 years’ experience in engineering designs of projects in his or her area of expertise. Alternatively any equivalent combination of education at the Masters or Doctoral level and experience. Excellent organization skills. Ability to learn quickly, multi-task and prioritize. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting, walking, hiking, and standing. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time. Mobility control of hands to set up equipment, handle samples, and operate tools. Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains.
