Your Contribution
- Supervisory - Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing; hiring and training employees and maintaining training/ cross-training records; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance and holding operators accountable for quality and production; rewarding and disciplining employees; and, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Production/ Operations - Prioritizes and plans work activities; sets goals and objectives; organizes and schedules other people and their tasks. Review work orders to assign work; clarify specifications and/ or drawings; track progress; and, update order schedule. Ensures work is completed according to quality specification; standard machine time; labor time; material yield; and that production and maintenance schedules are met. Adjusts work order routings as necessary to maintain production schedule. Maintains time and production records, and monitors employee utilization rate to maintain it at an acceptable level. Completes reports. Recommends/ implements ways to improve quality, production and equipment processes.
- Time and Attendance Reporting - Prepares and submits weekly time and attendance and keys in all necessary corrections.
- Planning and Material Administration - Gathers and analyses information. Develops alternative solutions. Works well in group problem solving situations. Maintains adequate stock of production supplies and safety equipment to support production schedules. Organizes stock utilizing Kanban and other methods to support plant wide 5S initiatives. Monitors adherence to agreed delivery dates. Enters SAP purchase requisitions.
- Lean Manufacturing - Makes use of the processes designed according to the principle of Lean Manufacturing in his or her work groups and sees to it that these principles/ processes are observed.
- EHS and Security - Responsible for daily enforcement and compliance of established policies and programs including hazardous wastes. Responsible to help formulate and apply safety improvement and waste minimization strategies wherever possible. Investigates near misses and incidents and completes reports.
Your Profile
- Associate Degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or Equivalent experience
3 - 5 years related experience and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience SAP (PP, PM, BI) or other ERP/ MRP systems; MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); CNC machine tool systems, manufacturing systems and technology; Lean Manufacturing techniques; and, Six Sigma methodology
