Job Description:
The Treasury Analyst is responsible for daily cash management for a bank with more than $1 billion in total assets in order to maintain adequate liquidity and to assist in monitoring funding and liquidity risk. This position will prepare, analyze, and communicate financial reports for the proper management of funds, initiate the actions necessary for balancing the daily deposits and liquidity.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly treasury reports.
  • Day-to-day cash management of the bank, maintaining all liquidity requirements.
  • Initiate transfers or deposits in response to funding needs.
  • Prepare and analyze key metrics and perform ratio analysis.
  • Manage vault cash process.
  • Provide ongoing financial management including process improvements, ad hoc analysis, reporting and special projects.
  • Advise management of bank's liquidity position based on analysis.
  • Manage communications with correspondent banks.
  • Document and update treasury policies and procedures as needed.
  • Assist in monitoring funding and liquidity risk and overall asset/liability management issues.
  • Support preparation for monthly and quarterly ALCO reports.
  • Enter data in NxtSoft interest rate risk model.
  • Develop analytics resources and support information culture.
  • Provide general technical and operations support.
  • Initiate, receive, research, and resolve routine and some non-routine inquiries.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Experience and Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • 5 years of banking or equivalent industry, business, finance, or accounting experience required.
