Job Description

General/Position Summary

The Medical Operations Manager will provide project management support to cross-functional medical affairs teams and execution of Medical Affairs Training projects across clinical stage and/or marketed programs. Collaborates with key stakeholders across multiple functions within medical affairs (including global and regional medical directors, global medical information, medical operations). This role is expected to apply project management knowledge and experience in the development, initiation, planning, execution, maintenance, and closing of projects as well as other departmental initiatives.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Plan and facilitate meetings to ensure projects and plans move forward and milestones are achieved.

* Supports the team to track high-quality medical training projects and ensures alignment between overall department training standard and plans

* Supports project status briefings and develops relevant supporting communications and analyses such as dashboards, progress to plan, resource allocation/level of effort, etc.; proactively identify issues/delays and organizes project team efforts to recalibrate to plan

* Tracks and oversees a portfolio of medical training plan projects and works to ensure synergies across projects/programs

* Supports team leads for risk mitigation planning, highlighting risks, timeline delays and other issues and identifying project contingencies.

* Effectively communicates to meet the needs of key stakeholders across teams and utilizes appropriate methods to deliver relevant and clear content and information

* Monitors and tracks program budgets

Required Education Level

Bachelor's degree required

Required Experience

Typically requires 1-3 years of experience working in a project management role in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry or the equivalent combination of advanced education and experience

Required Knowledge/Skills

Ability to think strategically and effectively assess, plan, and prepare recommendations regarding team objectives

* Specialized and in-depth drug development knowledge with good understanding of other related disciplines

* Strong interpersonal skills with experience leading projects in a matrix environment preferred; experience in explaining highly technical, complex or sensitive information

* Flexible and able to work independently to manage work prioritiesand follow tasks through to completion, including navigating and removing critical roadblocks

* Ability to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient.

* Substantial ability to communicate complex issues in a simple way and to orchestrate plans to resolve issues and mitigate risks

* Results-driven with advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to apply analytical thought to identify dynamic or novel solutions.

* Strong verbal and written communication skills

In this Hybrid-Eligible role, you can choose to be designated as:
1. Hybrid: work remotely up to two days per week; or select
2. On-Site: work five days per week on-site with ad hoc flexibility.
