Proficient knowledge of policies, procedures, internal processes and LGE's host system
Work delinquency queues within required timeframes
Escalate uncollectable debts, including potential repossessions, to AR Management when contact or satisfactory payment arrangements cannot be made
Answer all incoming calls from internal staff and respond to member inquiries
Cultivate and maintain effective internal and external relationships; provide guidance as needed
Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor when speaking to members at all times
Communicates with members to determine the reason for delinquency and/or overdrawn status on their accounts
Make reasonable and equitable payment arrangements including partial and full payments as appropriate
Provide guidance and recommendations to members in an effort to restore a positive payment history
When appropriate, consider options such as the Skip Payment and Extension Programs
Review and submit completed Extension Request to Consumer Lending - ensure details relating to the hardship are clearly outlined
Record all communication, collection activity and payment arrangements in a clear and concise manner
Process and post payments received by phone, by mail, etc.
Send appropriate notices/letters when deemed necessary
Process all loan charges off
Process all negative shares/checking charge offs
Prepare monthly negative share/checking charge off reports and distribute to AR Management
Conduct thorough verification of credit disputes and make corrections as needed
Provide back up support to other teammates as needed or directed
Provide after-hours support as needed or directed
Ensure confidentiality of all lending related matters
Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines such as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, UDAAP and TCPA
Maintain familiarity with and follow all policies, procedures and processes which have been established in order to meet compliance requirements of all applicable Federal and State regulations. The regulations include but are not limited to the Privacy Act, ECOA, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Reg. CC and Patriot Act
Required: High school diploma
Required: Ability to handle moderately complex issues and problems
Preferred: 2+ years of collection experience
Preferred: Credit Union or Financial Institution experience
Self-starter with the ability to work independently
Good organization and time management skills required; detail orientated with the ability to multi-task
Good judgmental and problem solving skills
Must possess strong computer and typing skills
Promote and maintain positive team relationships
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
