Mechanical Engineer-Entry level

V2X is growing! V2X is looking for an entry level Mechanical Engineer to join our team at the Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory (NBL) Operation Contract (NOC) in Houston Texas.

Required Qualifications/Skills

• 1-5 years of project management, project engineering, or project planning experience or advance degree in a related field.
• Perform estimation processes for new projects based on given requirements.
• Conduct necessary communications with Engineering Leads to ensure clarification and meet specific requirements in a timely manner.
• Evaluate and assess technical issues, determine proper resolutions, either through trade studies or assessments. Provide alternatives for resolving these issues to the Engineering lead and NOC Chief Engineer.
• Inspect, test fit, and install existing and new hardware.
• Maintain budgets, labor resources and project schedules and convey any adjustments according to needs as they arise.
• Track performance and completion of multiple projects to Engineering Lead and stakeholders on a weekly basis.
• Collaborate with the critical systems team to resolve any issues.
• Maintain mandatory trainings status.
• Support weekly Engineering status meetings.
• Present design and project status reviews as required to the customer.

Desired Qualifications/Skills

• Knowledge of Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory (i.e., Test Director, Environmental Control Systems, Dive Operations, Critical Systems, etc.).
• Time management and organization skills
• Advanced MS Office skills
• Proficiency in professional scheduling software (Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, PWA, etc).
• Oral and written technical communication skills.
• Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory SCUBA certified or willingness to obtain one is preferred but not required.

Education Requirements:

• BS degree in Engineering or relevant field (Project Management).
• Experience in PM and in the process of obtaining degree (within 2 years) will be considered.
