Description We are seeking an experienced Mining Equipment Operator who takes pride in the safe and efficient operation of production mining equipment in a surface pit operation. The ideal candidate will be skilled in operating dozers, excavators, and graders to move waste and mineral materials to support site development operations. Essential Responsibilities: Safely and efficiently operate D9/D10 dozers, 16 series graders, and Hitachi 850 excavators. Conduct pre-trip/walk-around safety inspections and complete daily Field Level Hazard Assessments for all activities. Maintain heavy equipment in good operating condition, reporting and logging maintenance requirements or concerns. Communicate effectively and professionally with other team members. Be a leader of both safety and production for the team by ensuring compliance with all company, client, and legislated safety policies and procedures. Qualifications: Minimum one year of experience operating mining equipment in a surface mining environment. Knowledge of GPS operation systems is an asset. MSHA p.48 metal/nonmetal ticket is required; training and support are provided to obtain or update certificates if needed.
