TITLE Assistant Director for External Relations, Athletics JOB SUMMARY The Assistant Director for External Relations works closely with corporate partners, alumni and community stakeholders to enhance the university's athletic development efforts and maximize revenue through sponsorships. The Assistant Director must be able to develop relationships which result in support for TWU's athletic programs and result in sponsorships. The Assistant Director has primary responsibility for the development and functioning of fan club/booster/supporter organizations including the TWU Pioneer Club, ensuring compliance with the University, the Lone Star Conference and applicable NCAA rules for any agreements and /or organizations. This position will also work closely with all Student Life departments to increase corporate / community partnerships. The Assistant Director may also work closely with Advancement in fundraising activities pertaining to the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of donors and prospects with an emphasis in Athletics. Work is performed under general supervision and performance evaluation is based upon completion of assignments and results obtained. EDUCATION Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred. EXPERIENCE Two years of experience directly related to the job functions required. Experience in higher education with a focus on Athletics and external relations preferred. REQUIREMENT Regular and reliable attendance at the University during regular scheduled days and work hours is an essential function of this position.
