JOB OVERVIEW: The Technician I position requires 2 Senior Certifications. As a Technician I, you will support our manufacturing operations and facilities infrastructure by providing a full range of mechanical/electrical and repair tasks with a focus on project completion in a timely manner and attention to detail. Project duties will vary; please read the requirements and job tasks below to understand the range of experience needed. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: * High school graduate or equivalent * Strong Mechanical & Electrical background & good work record * Must have basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, CMMS, Excel, etc.) * Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics and OEM manuals * Understand manufacturing processes and manufacturing equipment * Must be familiar with normal shop equipment such as drill press, band saw, portable power tools, welder(s), etc. * Ability to read and interpret precision measuring devices * Must be capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously * Must have 2 hands-on Certifications: Senior Electrical, plus Sr. Mechanical * Up to 50% travel possible PRIMARY JOB TASKS: * Works in a safe manner and ensures the safety of all employees * Perform all work in accordance with Southwire policies and procedures * Reading electrical and or mechanical schematics, drawings and equipment manuals * Develop material list and order materials required Benefits We Offer:
