Office Coordinator - Full Time Day
POSITION SUMMARY:
To provide administrative and secretarial support to the Emergency Services Department and staff regarding day-to-day activities, to oversee the coordination of administrative activities and office operations for the department and the Valley Van Service Program, and to transport patients to and from hospital outpatient facilities.
Shift - Full time day shift
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Formal undergraduate education preferred. Knowledge of ambulance billing and Medicare procedures. CAC and MAV certification preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
2 - 4 years of administrative and secretarial experience to include 1 - 2 years of office management experience.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
Driver`s License - current and valid New Jersey driver`s license. Employees must adhere to all procedural guidelines in HR Policy 1-13 including demonstrating an acceptable driving record for the duration of their employment as long as driving continues to be a responsibility of the job. Sound written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft applications (i.e. , WordPerfect, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, etc. and computer literature, Good organizational skills. Ability to work independently and communicate effectively (oral and in writing). Ability to effectively interact with customers to meet their needs. Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision. Ability to work cooperatively within a team environment. Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule. Ability to set priorities, make effective decisions, and respond quickly to customer's needs. Ability to recognize and deal with problematic situations and to prioritize. Uses discretion in confidential matters.
