As a Senior Manager of Data Engineering, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our platform by leading and mentoring a high-performing team of data engineers, data scientists, and software developers. You will be responsible for developing and implementing data strategies that drive business growth and deliver exceptional customer value.
What will you do
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of data engineers, data scientists, and software developers, encouraging a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Develop and implement strategies for data engineering that align with the company's goals and objectives.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust data pipelines and architectures (e.g., data lakes, data warehouses).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver impactful solutions.
- Lead development teams focused on building data-driven products, including customer-facing analytics dashboards, predictive analytics, and AI/ML-powered network optimization tools.
- Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Explore and implement innovative data technologies, such as AI/ML, cloud computing, and big data analytics.
- Passionate about exploring and implementing cutting-edge data technologies and solutions.
The skills you bring
- 8+ years leadership experience in software development, including leading data engineering and data analytics teams.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate high-performing teams in a fast-paced and agile environment.
- Strong customer focus and a well-honed sense of empathy for regional and cultural considerations towards building a globally distributed team.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native technologies.
- Expertise in data engineering best practices, including data modeling, data warehousing, and data pipeline development.
- Strong background in developing complex production quality software in Python, Go and Java.
- Experience with AI/ML technologies and tools is a strong plus.

Your Pay
The salary range for this position is listed below. The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
* $200,800- $301,200

Your Time
Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided up to 40 days of paid time off per year, including 15 days of accrued annual vacation, 3 personal days, 7 paid holidays, 4 floating holidays, 10 sick days, and 1 volunteer day. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee's start date.
