PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

As a Manager of Manufacturing Operations at Worley, you will play a key role in bridging traditional manufacturing methods with innovative and sustainable practices. You will lead and manage operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective production processes. In alignment with Worley's mission to deliver sustainable change, this role focuses on optimizing manufacturing activities while fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership and Team Management: Lead and manage cross-functional teams across multiple shifts and departments, fostering a culture of safety, inclusivity, and continuous improvement.

Operational Excellence: Oversee manufacturing activities, ensuring compliance with established procedures and processes while prioritizing safety, quality, and environmental stewardship.

Material and Logistics Management: Ensure efficient management of material acquisition, supply, transportation, and storage to support production schedules and maintain project timelines.

Continuous Improvement: Employ lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies, from conception to implementation, to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and meet sustainability goals.

Risk and Issue Management: Actively monitor project risks, issues, and action items, implementing mitigation strategies to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with internal and external stakeholders to achieve organizational objectives, drive innovation, and support sustainability-related initiatives.

Performance Monitoring: Track and evaluate production metrics to ensure alignment with safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. Implement corrective actions as necessary to meet goals.

Sustainability Integration: Support Worley's ambition of deriving a significant portion of revenue from sustainability projects by integrating sustainable practices into daily operations.

Safety Leadership: Adhere to Worley safety standards and make safety the number one priority in all operations.

Accountability: Ultimately responsible and accountable for all manufacturing operations.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLSET

Educational Background:

A degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent experience will be considered.

Professional Experience:

Demonstrated expertise in manufacturing, construction, material management, and logistics.

Proven experience managing field personnel, assembly lines, production lines, and cross-functional teams.

Strong background in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement methodologies, and performance enhancement practices.

Leadership and People Management:

A commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and innovative workplace culture.

Skilled in managing multiple departments and shifts, with a focus on collaboration and employee engagement.

Ability to build and develop high-performing teams.

Operational Skills:

Proficient in logistical analysis, planning, scheduling, and supply chain management.

Adept at risk and issue management, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.

Independence in problem solving and decision making.

Technical Competence:

Familiarity with safety and quality standards in manufacturing and construction environments.

Experience with performance monitoring tools and metrics analysis.

Core Attributes:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.

A results-oriented mindset, with a focus on achieving organizational objectives in alignment with sustainability goals.

Self-Starter:

Demonstrates initiative and the ability to work independently to drive projects and objectives forward.

WORK LOCATION FLEXIBILITY

Willing to work in the Houston Rogerdale Office, and/or Baton Rouge Office, and at the manufacturing facility in Texas.

Willing to travel as needed.
