Columbia University in the City of New York: University Libraries Location 01 Open Date Aug 26, 2024 Salary Range or Pay Grade $84,000 - $88,000/yr Description The Diamond Law Library at Columbia University is seeking a Reference Librarian, to provide in-person and virtual reference service in all areas of law (including American, International, and Foreign Law) to faculty, students, and others. Reporting to the Head of Public Services, the successful candidate will participate in the Law Library's Administrative Rotation System, a unique experience that provides librarians with a new set of administrative responsibilities on an annual basis, leading to a term as Head of Public Services. Responsibilities also include training law students and others through extensive classroom teaching, workshops, and one-on-one instruction; providing in-depth research assistance for faculty members; creating and maintaining LibGuides, and other related duties. Reference Librarians share regular evening and weekend hours. The Arthur W. Diamond Law Library offers its researchers one of the finest collections of legal materials in the country in both digital and print formats. In addition to a near comprehensive United States Law collection, there are strong collections in International, Foreign, and Comparative Law, and a special section devoted to Japanese Law.
