The Echocardiography Technical Coordinator is an expert in echocardiography, with advanced proficiency and knowledge in cardiac ultrasound theory, techniques, and cardiology. They mentor and provide instruction to employees, physicians, fellows, students, and preceptors. With a deep understanding of anatomy and physiology, the coordinator assists the lab with complex cardiovascular cases and advanced technical procedures. They oversee the coordination of the echo lab's technical needs, including program development and clinical expertise, while serving as a quality leader and mentor. Additional Information

Coordinates and oversees projects and initiatives related to the technical needs of the echo lab, including managing ultrasound machines, high-level disinfection (HLD) equipment, and the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) as defined by leadership. Provides technical assistance including equipment training, troubleshooting, maintenance, and diagnosing issues. Collaborates with BioMed to address equipment malfunctions. Serves as the PACS administrative superuser. Educates sonographers, fellows, physicians, and preceptees on the technical aspects of the echo lab. Leads program development to meet the technical needs of the lab. Builds trust and resolves conflicts within teams. Maintains relationships with ultrasound industry professionals, offering recommendations for capital purchases of echo lab equipment. Keeps records of echo volumes across the system of care. Assists with maintaining and renewing IAC accreditation, ensuring lab compliance with certification requirements. Independently performs high-quality echocardiograms on patients from newborns to adults, evaluating congenital heart disease with varying complexity. Demonstrates expertise in echocardiography while adhering to scanning protocols across the system of care. Creates accurate preliminary reports, performs necessary measurements, and alerts the attending physician of critical findings. Assists with cardiac procedures as needed, following proper disinfection techniques in accordance with lab policies. Attends mandatory meetings, training sessions, and completes required education. Maintains flexibility regarding shift scheduling, location, call requirements, and weekend assignments as needed. Communicates effectively and respectfully with patients, families, coworkers, and others, providing age-appropriate and detailed descriptions of procedures. Follows department policies, procedures, and protocols, addressing concerns related to non-compliance or patient/staff safety. Maintains an up-to-date registry of credentials and certifications. Salary Information Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $96,942.61 to $145,413.91Hourly Salary Range: $46.61 to $69.91 Benefits Information Here, you matter.
