Access Navigator

People Incorporated is seeking an Access Navigator to join our Central Access Contact Center team! This is a full-time hybrid position. This team will be responsible for connecting consumers and community partners with our services. Our goal is to ensure that we are able to engage people and help them navigate how to connect with services at People Incorporated in ways that are integrated and seamless.

Hours: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, business hours 8:30am-5pm

Location: Twin Cities, Minnesota | Hybrid

Hiring Range: $22.00-$23.75 Hourly based on qualifications

Hiring Bonus: $1,000 hiring bonus to external candidates

Main Job Duties:

  • Creating a welcoming and supportive first impression for people who are navigating our services
  • Responding to inquiries made by telephone, email and/or in-person and guiding them to the most appropriate programs
  • Supporting people as they learn how to access, qualify and establish services with People Incorporated
  • Obtaining initial demographic, financial, health information and insurance data and creating consumer accounts in appropriate databases, and/or billing systems
  • Partnering with key program staff to develop, implement and refine policies, procedures and workflow processes
  • Effectively interacting and exhibiting behavior that is consistent with customer service and professional standards
  • Must be able to have presence at onsite monthly meetings in Eagan, Minnesota
Requirements

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Passing all background and credentialing requirements for facility and position; and
  • The ability to pass the screening required by Federal Human Services Office of Inspector General to assure that person has not been excluded from working in the Health Care Programs which receive federal funding.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma / GED
  • Two years of customer service experience

OR

  • Associate's degree in behavioral science or a related field
  • One year of customer service experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in behavioral science or a related field
  • Experience providing direct care to individuals with severe and persistent mental illness
  • Experience in a call center environment
