Role

PDW is seeking a dynamic and strategic Communications Manager to lead and enhance our communication efforts across various platforms. This pivotal role will be instrumental in crafting and sharing PDW's brand narrative, and shaping how PDW is positioned with external and internal audiences, ensuring consistent and compelling messaging for both internal and external audiences.

The ideal candidate will bring a mix of creativity, analytical thinking, and exceptional communication skills to develop and execute strategies that elevate PDW's brand presence, drive engagement, and establish thought leadership in the industry. Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, this role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with PDW's leadership team and key stakeholders to create impactful, high-quality content.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy and content plan encompassing social media, public relations, and thought leadership initiatives.
• Oversee PDW's corporate social media platforms, including content creation, scheduling, and community management.
• Analyze performance metrics to optimize engagement, reach, and impact.
• Craft compelling messaging tailored to a variety of audiences, including customers, partners, employees, and media.
• Support the development and execution of crisis communication plans to address sensitive or urgent matters effectively.
• Research and develop compelling case studies highlighting the success and impact of PDW's solutions in real-world applications.
• Partner with executives to develop thought leadership content, including articles, speeches, and presentations that position PDW as an industry leader.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in corporate communications, PR, or a related field, preferably in technology, defense, or public safety sectors. Unmanned systems and/or UAS knowledge is highly desired.
• Proven track record of managing social media platforms and leveraging analytics to improve performance.
• Strong writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to create compelling and audience-appropriate content, including case studies.
• Sharp eye for detail, great writer, and proven project management skills.
• Experience working directly with government or public safety organizations.

ITAR Requirement

In compliance with International Traffic Arms Regulations (ITAR), candidates must be U.S. Citizens, U.S. Permanent Residents (Green Card holders) or individuals granted asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
