Product Owner

IntelliBridge is looking for a hands-on Product Owner to join our growing team!

The role operates in a SAFe based Agile environment and requires an understanding of the full software lifecycle, including DevSecOps implementations, Software Development, System Integration, Infrastructure Management and Cyber Security.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that teams demonstrate the most critical aspects of the solution to the stakeholders
  • Maintain product knowledge to increase efficiency in delivery of all product deliverables.
  • Keep project team well informed of changes within the organization
  • Effectively communicates relevant project information to team members and stakeholders, Dev Team, Product Manager Liaison, Government Product Manager and Government Product Owner (when applicable)
  • Provides Acceptance Criteria that assures quality and user expectations
  • Provides story detail and priorities during Iteration Planning
  • Coordinates with Government Product Owner's to accept stories as done
  • Builds, edits, maintains, and prioritizes the team backlog based on user value, time and other team dependencies.
  • Breaks down solution themes and epics into understandable stories, defects, and enablers
  • Understands enabler work and assists with the sequencing of that work
  • Coordinates dependencies with other Product Owner Liaisons
  • Coordinates with Architecture team to vet architectural requests
  • Ensures receipt of stories/work/tasks from team regarding adherence to non-functional requirements for their application(s)
  • Works across teams to define and implement improvement stories based on Inspect and Adapt events
  • Support the team and Scrum Master in -
    • Provide effective leadership of Scrum teams and Agile processes.
    • Mentor team members on Agile methods and best practices.
    • Work with Scrum teams to ensure that the principles of the Scrum methodology are protected.
    • Facilitate communication and collaboration within and around the team (release & sprint planning, user stories, backlog grooming, Agile testing, etc.)
    • Use independent judgment to identify and remove organization and team impediments and help resolve issues and conflicts - Shield the team from external interference.

Location: Fort Collins, CO or remote

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience with Agile Scrum Teams and a solid understanding of Agile development methodologies.
  • Certified Product Owner (CPO) or similar certification required (preferably with SAFe)
  • Bachelor's Degree (ideally in Computer Science or Management Information Systems) or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years of IT work experience as a Product Owner, Scrum Master or similar relatable experience in Agile environment
  • Strong technical writing skills, with the ability to concisely describe business requirements
  • Documentation of business requirements. Examples of documentation include business requirement specifications (BSR), context diagrams, use cases, and user stories
  • Understanding of Web-based enterprise software, .Net Framework, C#, javascript, AJAX, and databases
  • Working knowledge of database systems
  • Understanding of user interfaces and most common approaches found in GUIs
  • Presentation of requirements findings and mockups for review with sponsors and end users
  • Ability to understand formulas used in financial calculations and to describe relevant workflows

Desired Skills:

  • Ability to develop and foster teamwork and facilitate team dynamics
  • Experience working with a wide range of personnel, including business sponsors, product owners, government project managers, development teams, and end users at all levels of the organization
  • Working experience with requirement tools (i.e., Jira/Confluence)
  • Familiarity with formalized requirements management frameworks (including requirements traceability) such as IEEE, ITIL, CMMI.
  • Experience in writing business requirements used to create enterprise class web-based software.
  • Familiarity with data modeling concepts
  • Familiarity with integrating COTS and custom software as part of an enterprise software solution (Experience with SAS, SAP, or Pega preferred)
  • Ability to research document repositories and existing code.
  • Willingness to assist with in development testing
  • Business Analyst Professional Associations

Candidates will be subject to a government background investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information. U.S. Citizenship is required.
