The ideal candidate for this opportunity is a creative storyteller who is excited to learn more about Tennessee's public behavioral health system and thoughtfully share stories of resiliency, recovery, and independence. You should apply if you have a demonstrated history of success creating compelling content across multiple mediums. Key Responsibilities: Create and curate compelling and engaging social media content across all TDMHSAS social media properties. Ensure consistent brand voice and image commensurate with the Department's role as the state's authority on mental health and substance abuse topics. Evolve and grow the Department's social media presence following industry best practices. Track analytics to measure impact and increase connection with audience. Compile, edit, and publish monthly department newsletter. Create newsletter content from submissions, social media, current events, and other sources. Distribute newsletter to internal and external stakeholders using email marketing service. Update department leadership and other stakeholders on state and national news including coverage of the department, its contracted providers, and other topics relevant to department operations. Create, update, and publish website content to the department's external TN.gov and internal TeamTN.gov websites using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). Support department communications efforts through graphic design. Minimum Qualifications: 4+ Years as a communications professional working in state government, private sector, or journalism. Demonstrated success as a communications professional creating and curating brand presence on multiple social media channels. Ability to develop, maintain, and evolve brand voice in external-facing communications. Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office, Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Canva, email marketing (MailChimp or Emma) Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new trends, techniques, and apps.
