Job Title: Electrical Application Engineer Job Summary The Electrical Application Engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise, solutions, and support for electrical products and systems. This role involves working closely with customers, sales teams, and engineering teams to ensure successful implementation and integration of products. The position requires a combination of technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in designing and developing electrical products and systems tailored to customer requirements.
- Provide technical recommendations and ensure compatibility with existing systems.
- Collaborate with customers to understand their technical needs and propose suitable solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to product performance or integration.
- Manage application projects, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
- Coordinate between internal teams and external stakeholders to align goals.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including manuals, product specifications, and user guides.
- Provide input for technical proposals and reports.
- Conduct tests to ensure the proper functioning of electrical systems.
- Validate designs to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Assist the sales team in product demonstrations and presentations.
- Provide technical training to customers and sales personnel.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and competitor products.
- Suggest product improvements based on market feedback.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience:
- 2-5 years of experience in electrical engineering, applications, or a related field.
- Proficiency in electrical systems (electrical circuits, NEMA motors, power systems, motor controls systems / VFD, PLC, and electrical testing equipment)
- Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN, MATLAB, or other electrical schematics software).
- Familiarity with standards like IEC, NEC, UL, IEEE, or other industry-specific regulations.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills (ability to diagnose and resolve electrical and technical issues in products and systems).
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
