Description

What You Will Do:

* Read and interpret electrical symbols, schematics, wiring and cable diagrams

* Uses trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills to resolve electrical issues

* Assist in wiring and troubleshooting prototype and first article product releases

* When needed, creates and maintains and modifies electrical CAD drawings in Zuken and / or Solid Works Electrical

* Assists in the creation of Bill of Materials (BOM) for the electrical elements of the vehicle build

* Investigates and implements cost reductions

* Creates product assembly and configuration documentation

* Trains manufacturing personnel in electrical assembly

* Creates and reviews engineering change notifications

* Assists with vehicle builds on the assembly floor

* Notes electrical issues concerning builds, drawings, components etc. and reports details back to Electrical Engineering.

* Works within the Team to understand new technology and apply it to our vehicles.

* Other tasks as assigned

Requirements

* 2-year Associates degree - EE preferred

* Two years practical electrical technology experience

* Experience working in a manufacturing environment

* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs, including Word and Excel

* AutoCAD, Solid Works, Solid Works Electrical and Zuken, preferred.

* Other software/programming training will be given as the needs arise.

* Strong interpersonal, problem solving and communications skills.

* Previous experience with 5S and lean manufacturing would be considered an asset.

* Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and be able to push and pull wires. Required to stand, walk, and/or sit. Use hands, arms, and fingers to feel objects.
