The Rasmussen University Nursing Administrative Coordinator works closely with students, faculty, and staff to ensure ongoing communication and implementation of key academic processes and procedures are in place on a Rasmussen University campus. The Nursing Administrative Coordinator is responsible for general administration of cyclical academic processes and assists the Faculty and Dean of Nursing with adherence to all University policies and procedures. The Nursing Administrative Coordinator plays a key role interfacing with our students to ensure their concerns or questions have been addressed and that our students have been informed about campus resources to assist them in their academic journeys.

Responsibilities:

The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following tasks, duties, and responsibilities consistent with the function. The employee is expected to perform all other duties as requested, directed, and/or assigned.

Documentation 60%



  • Maintains accurate and consistent records in accordance with our University and academic policies (i.e. immunization records, accreditation records, contracts, expense reports).
  • Review of immunization documentation/records and timely communication of start-eligible versus clinical-eligible students to campus nursing leaders. Timely and diligent follow-up with students to ensure compliance and completion of immunizations to ensure students meet and maintain clinical eligibility requirements necessary to progress in the program.
  • With the Dean of Nursing, gather and capture measurement data to be included in the Program Performance Reports (PPR) for each respective program.
  • Implements and supports policy/procedural changes to ensure the success of students and the University.
  • Maintains accurate ATI Content Mastery and Comprehensive Predictor completion records.


Planning 35%



  • Exam scheduling and coordination of related resources (i.e. proctor, classroom) whether for ATI or course testing. Includes coordinating to ensure students with accommodations have their exam scheduling needs met as part of exam scheduling activities.
  • Coordinate with nursing campus leaders and maintain the nursing testing schedule including scheduling of exam proctor(s).
  • Assists with course scheduling including planning of campus master schedule of course offerings both short term and long term.
  • Assists the Dean of Nursing in coordinating academic meetings, new faculty orientation, advisory board meetings, student orientations, and other events led on campus by the School of Nursing. Related activities may include securing the meeting space, sending meeting invitation and tracking attendance, compiling agendas and related resources, etc.

  • Demonstrates skilled oral, written, and electronic communication that reflects an awareness of self and others, along with an ability to convey ideas in a variety of contexts.
  • Maintains an accurate knowledge of programmatic academic expectations.
  • Works closely with Dean of Nursing as well as campus-based and central teams to support various processes.
  • Maintains current and accurate knowledge of student service resources and policies, including:
  • Student academic support services including tutoring, community resources, learning plans, and learning center support.


Reporting Relationship:

The Nursing Administrative Coordinator reports directly to the Dean of Nursing.

Position Requirements:



  • Minimum of two years of administrative, customer-interfacing experience in a fast-paced organization.
  • Associate's degree required, bachelor's degree preferred
  • Detail-oriented, service-oriented, student-centered.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and reprioritize as needed to achieve established outcomes/goals by due dates.
  • Adaptable/flexible.

Our defined compensation structure is market competitive and is built to reward performance. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role is $41,700.00 to $54,200.00. We take a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including but not limited to: job and level hired into, location, skill set; experience and training; peer compensation and other business and organizational needs. This range is subject to change.
