Responsibilities:

• Technical Diagnosis & Troubleshooting - Assist in identifying and resolving hardware and software issues in medical simulation equipment using systematic troubleshooting methods.
• Equipment Repair & Maintenance - Learn and perform repairs and maintenance on a variety of medical devices while following established procedures, safety guidelines, and industry best practices.
• Systems & Technical Skill Development - Gain hands-on experience in CRM software, inventory management, and healthcare simulation product repair, including learning the Laerdal product catalog, network connectivity basics, customer service best practices, time management, and KPI tracking.
• Quality Control & Compliance - Ensure all repaired equipment meets quality assurance standards and regulatory guidelines before returning to service.
• Team Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing - Work closely with technical support teams, engineers, and product specialists to exchange insights, solve complex issues, and contribute to process improvements.
• Detailed Documentation - Maintain accurate records of troubleshooting steps, repairs performed, and parts used in alignment with company protocols and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• Intern must be available to commit to the entire summer internship (approximately May - August) and work five days a week in the Wappingers Falls, NY office (with reliable transportation and local housing).
• Major or related course work in the following majors; Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering
• Strong individual work ethic with the ability to take initiative.
• Effective teamwork and collaboration skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Comfortable using handheld mechanical tools such as screwdrivers, hammers, and wrenches.
• Interest or background in engineering, IT, or computer science with a passion for hands-on technical work.
• Prior experience in a repair shop or technical support role is a plus.
• Detail-oriented and diligent in completing tasks accurately and efficiently.

Pay Rate: $18 per hour
