New Business Development Manager

Position Description

As a New Business Development Manager, your role will be to plan, develop and identify new business opportunities to build and expand profitable sales for Ferris Commercial Mowers. You will define, plan and execute short and long term strategic goals, build key customer relationships within our dealer network and negotiate and close business deals. You will also maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions.

You will do this by:
  • Develops, implements and maintains a business plan to prospect new clients in conjunction with sales and marketing

  • Creates and presents sales and marketing programs that cultivate opportunities and secures orders

  • Collects, analyzes and compares pertinent data from target markets and makes proposals/recommendations to key stakeholders

  • Interfaces with leaders and support personnel in sales and marketing to implement company sales programs

  • Develops and achieves a growth strategy focused on financial gain and customer satisfaction

  • Controls selling costs through effective management and expense control

  • Performs other duties as assigned

You are the type of person who is/has:
  • Proven ability to develop new business plans

  • Ability to analyze sales trends to identify alternatives that will maximize sales opportunities

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse groups of people

  • Proven ability to work independently

  • Ability to plan, prioritize and organize multiple projects and business demands

  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location

Travel:

50-75%

Education
Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent education and experience
Experience Requirements
  • Five years sales and/or customer service experience
  • Strong technical sales background
