Join us as a Research Associate II or Senior Research Associate - Fayetteville, AR

Welcome to Animal BioSolutions, Applied Research!

We support the development of new biological solutions aimed at improving health and sustainability in production animal farming. As part of our team of 11 experienced Scientists and Research Associates based in Fayetteville (United States) and Lyngby (Denmark), you will play a vital role in driving and supporting application research activities at our poultry research site in Fayetteville, Arkansas. You will do this by leading and conducting laboratory analyses, supporting data management and sample collection in the barn. We emphasize and foster close collaboration across functions, disciplines and time zones to support our new and existing portfolio of animal biosolutions, and we offer ample opportunities for personal and professional growth.

In this role you'll make an impact by:

  • Conducting laboratory analysis on biological samples

  • Documenting, adapting, and optimizing analytical procedures

  • Managing laboratory and trial data (including quality assurance)

  • Showing technical flair and interest for laboratory equipment, techniques, and analyses

  • Supporting animal data collection, sampling, and trial preparation

  • Assisting the scientific team in conducting mode of action and animal model studies

  • Taking the lead on SOP creation, protocol writing and reporting

To succeed you must have:

  • A BS/MS in poultry science, animal science, biology, microbiology, immunology, or related discipline. Knowledge of poultry is desirable.

  • Preferably holds 3 years of relevant work experience

  • Practical laboratory experience, especially with immunological or microbiological assays

  • General knowledge of data collection and data management within a research setting

  • Willingness to handle live animals in a research setting

  • A collaborative, positive and open mindset

  • Ability to work in an agile team setting

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Flexibility for local travel and a valid US driver's license

  • The ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship currently or in the future

*Please note this role will be hired as either a Research Associate II or Sr. Research Associate, depending on the person's background and experience.

Location: Fayetteville, AR

Expected salary range:

  • Sr. Research Associate: $64,000 - $75,000

  • Research Associate II: $53,000 - $64,000
