Position Overview:
We are seeking a Software Engineer - Data Center Simulation with 15+ years of experience in developing modeling and simulation tools for large-scale, mission-critical facilities. This role focuses on designing and implementing advanced software models to evaluate performance, reliability, cost, and operational efficiency of data centers at an unprecedented scale. In this role, you will work closely with technical experts across multiple domains (networking, power, cooling, logistics, construction, and operations) to develop predictive simulation tools that drive design, optimization, operations, and decision-making. If you are passionate about supercomputing, large-scale system modeling, and digital twin development, we encourage you to apply!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop modeling tools to evaluate data center design, performance, cost, and operational trade-offs from concept to operation phase.

  • Build simulation frameworks that generate Bill of Materials (BOMs), validate deliveries, and provide predictive performance/reliability analysis.

  • Develop both backend modeling software and intuitive front-end visualization tools to enable data-driven decision-making.

  • Integrate simulation models into existing workflows, from concept development to full-scale operations.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure modeling tools align with real-world power, cooling, networking, and logistics constraints.

  • Leverage digital twin methodologies to create high-fidelity, predictive models for large-scale data center infrastructure.

  • Analyze and back-test predictions, improving accuracy and reliability of performance and cost modeling.

  • Think big about system-scale modeling, building solutions that support the next generation of hyper-scale data centers.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in supercomputing, large system modeling, and simulation for mission-critical infrastructure.

  • Strong experience in large-scale digital twin development and predictive analytics.

  • Proven track record in modeling system development, validation, and verification for data centers or similarly complex environments.

  • Expertise in developing backend modeling software and building visualization tools for performance analysis.

  • Familiarity with networking, power, cooling, logistics, and data center operations.

  • Ability to quickly implement reliable software and analyze complex datasets for optimization.

  • Experience integrating simulation tools with real-world operational workflows.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (advanced degrees preferred).

Preferred Skills:

  • 15+ years of experience in simulation modeling for large-scale data centers.

  • Extensive experience in AI-driven modeling, predictive analytics, and automation for mission-critical systems.

  • Familiarity with high-performance computing (HPC) environments for simulation workloads.

  • Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices, data visualization, and large-scale infrastructure modeling.
