As a Marketing Business Intelligence Analyst, you will gather and analyze economic and marketing intelligence, focusing on industry trends, segments, competitors, and customer insights. Your work will help our marketing team and Chicago Pneumatic business line management align our strategies with customer satisfaction, market trends, and competitive forces.

Location: Rock Hill, South Carolina (Hybrid Work Schedule)

In this role you will:

Market Research Activities:




  • Conduct ongoing competitor and environmental analysis, including surveys and tracking industry changes.



  • Monitor and track market share and customer share.



  • Regularly check competitors' websites and monitor key updates and information.



  • Subscribe to key websites that provide market intelligence data.



  • Maintain close relationships with key journals and market tracking agencies.



  • Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback on market trends.



  • Provide monthly updates on the market and competitors to inform decisions on pricing, market investment, product promotion, and channels.





Sales and Promotional Activities:




  • Analyze data in ERP and CRM systems to support marketing and sales management decision-making.



  • Support large National Accounts with analysis.



  • Coordinate territory-mapping exercises with the Product & Commercial Marketing Leader, National Sales Managers, and Business Line Managers.



  • Assist Product Managers with market analysis for profitable growth in market segment reports and promotional activities.



  • Lead, maintain, and adapt yearly price lists and channel partner value packs with marketing teams.



  • Monitor product AMP and profitability per territory and accounts.



  • Actively participate in marketing/communication team meetings, providing support for promotional and new product launch activities.





Marketing Dashboard and Analysis:




  • Develop dashboards and automatic scorecards for sales management.



  • Provide monthly sales trackers per account and business line scorecards.



  • Assist NSM/Marketing/BLM with sales dashboards and POS reports.



  • Support reporting and business board preparation as required.




To succeed, you will need

Qualifications




  • Must have strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.



  • Must be flexible and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.



  • Ability to interact with all levels in the organization with a professional and positive manner.



  • Capable of performing professional presentations and demonstrations.



  • Effective capability with Microsoft Office programs with upper Excel and Power BI knowledge.



  • Proficient with SAP and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce.com)



  • Ability to run surveys and track results both internally and externally.





Experience




  • 2 years of experience or more in marketing capacity with a business B2B environment





Education




  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing or business preferred





Travel




  • Local travel and occasional international travel throughout North America, including Canada and Mexico
